Years ago, our CEO and Founder of Strictly Weddings coined the term: FABOOSH! That is exactly what we are going with as the best adjective to describe this unforgettable Great Gatsby theme wedding that also redefines the term epic. Let’s just begin with the aerialist flappers from Dream World Cirque hanging from the ceiling pouring champagne for the guests and bling divas. Follow that up with the bride’s Tara Keely gown designed by Lazaro from JLM Couture and you can immediately see why our jaws dropped. This is one of the first Great Gatsby theme wedding days that we have seen carrying out every element in grand and oh-so -1920’s stylish fashion with impeccable planning, design and décor by Artisan Event Floral Décor. Lending his own incredible talent from behind the lens for us to gobble up each and every detail that cannot and should not be missed is Michael Segal. Of course, it was naturally perfect for Ali and Adam to host a theme wedding around one of the most popular stories as they first met at the Sundance Festival and have a history of hosting theme parties.

At Ali and Adam’s request, the invitation dress code was “Black Tie Gatsby Inspired, But Not Required.” Needless to say – their guests did not disappoint. While the Great Gatsby is more black and gold, Ali opted for lighter colors since it was a wedding day and the bride always gets what she wants. Many of the delicious details of the day were actually DIY. Invitations were hand made by Harmony Art Design who designed a Gatsby monogram that was carried throughout the invitations, ice luge and napkin holders. Gift bags included a specially printed edition of a 1920’s replica newspaper showcasing the lovebird’s engagement photo with travel size liquors – of course Whiskey being one – and a Gatsby slang dictionary. The groom, Adam, went the extra mile penning the feature article utilizing nuggets selected from the dictionary itself. Artisan Event Floral Décor helped execute the overall Great Gatsby vision of Ali and Adam’s. They lead the visual creative design work with components ranging from the magnificent floral and chuppah design to the 7-foot LOVE sign, table semantics, DJ and sound equipment. Just amazing or as we say – FABOOSH in every way!
